Web design is a very general term that can describe as little as selecting an HTML template and adding content, to producing a comprehensive online destination designed to enable communication or commerce. Good web design is simply the design of such "destinations" in a manner that accomplishes the original intended objective.
While this may seem obvious, practice proves that it is not consider the vast array of web sites that do not communicate the intended message to the desired audience, or fail to sell.
